Quilted Nativity Christmas Tree Skirt

This gorgeous dark blue and gold tree skirt features vignettes of the holy family, shepherd and wise men adoring the baby Jesus, then separately the approaching wise men.  Between the vignette circles there is a light blue scrolled pattern.  The center background is a star-studded night sky.  The tree skirt is edged with dark blue bias tape and finished with dark blue ribbon ties.

The tree skirt in the photos is a sample, it is not the tree skirt you will receive.  The panels I have this year are pre-quilted, so the quilting will be different from the one in the photos.  The print/pictures on the skirt are the same.

How do I know what size tree skirt to buy for my tree?  The important thing to know when deciding on the size of your tree skirt is the diameter of your tree at the bottom of the branches.  How wide is the tree?  Once you have measured the width of your tree, add 6″.  That is the approximate size you will want for the tree skirt to extend just a few inches beyond the tips of the branches.  Of course, if you want to cover more or less floor you can adjust the number for your own needs.
