Large JOY Christmas Tree Skirt

This tree skirt has large, beautiful red and white poinsettias scattered around the circle.  Background is black with gold scroll work.  The cream and gold edging has the word “JOY” at regular intervals.  It is a full circle, 54″ in diameter, with a slit for easy placement around the base of your Christmas tree.  It is machine quilted with gold thread and trimmed with red bias tape with matching ribbon ties.

How do I know what size tree skirt to buy for my tree?  The important thing to know when deciding on the size of your tree skirt is the diameter of your tree at the bottom of the branches.  How wide is the tree?  Once you have measured the width of your tree, add 6″.  That is the approximate size you will want for the tree skirt to extend just a few inches beyond the tips of the branches.  Of course, if you want to cover more or less floor you can adjust the number for your own needs.
